Project Overview
The Project Overview page serves as the central hub for managing your Zero Docs project. After creating a project and adding sources, this dashboard provides access to all project features and settings.
Accessing the Project Overview
- From the Projects dashboard, click on your project name
- You'll land on the Overview page, which displays your project's current status and quick access links

1. Project Status
At the top of the page, your project name is displayed alongside its status badge (e.g., "Live"). This indicates whether your project is actively published and available.
2. Versions Section
The Versions section shows all versions of your project. Each version card displays:
- Version name (e.g., "v1")
- Publication status ("Published")
- Default version indicator
- Source count
- Source References count
You can create new versions using the New Version + button. Learn more about version management in Managing Versions.
3. Quick Links
Quick access buttons provide shortcuts to frequently used features:
- Chat Agent: Jump directly to testing your chat agent
4. Pro Tips
Dismissible tip cards suggest next steps and best practices, such as connecting your chat agent to Slack or Discord.
5. Navigation Sidebar
The left sidebar provides expandable navigation to all project features:
- Sources: Manage project-wide source configurations
- Versions: Access version-specific settings and sources
- Chat Agent: Test, embed, design, and reset your chat agent
- Support & Contact: Configure support settings
- Documentation: Build, configure, and brand your documentation site
- Integrations: Connect Slack, Discord, or MCP servers
- Custom Domain: Set up custom domain hosting
- Allowed Domains: Manage domain whitelist for widget embedding
- Flagged Sources: Review flagged or problematic sources
- Analytics: View usage and performance metrics

From the Project Overview, you can:
- Create a new version to organize different releases or documentation sets
