Roll-in Shower Configurations
Roll-in showers must meet specific dimensional and equipment requirements to accommodate wheelchair users. Three standard configurations are recognized:
Roll-in Shower - Configuration A

Special provisions for existing California showers:
Existing 42" x 48" California showers will be considered accessible provided that the controls and hand-held shower hose bracket is relocated to the near wall at the entrance to the shower. The hand-held showerhead must have a diverter from the fixed showerhead on the opposite wall.

- Standard fixed showerhead located on opposite wall
