Viewing Chat History
The Chats page displays a centralized feed of all conversations from chat agents across your projects. This allows you to review user interactions, monitor agent performance, and track conversation patterns.
Step 1: Access the Chats Page
- From the main sidebar (available from any project view), click Chats
The Chats page displays conversations from all projects you have access to.
Step 2: Filter by Project
Use the filter tabs at the top of the page to narrow down which conversations you see:
- All: Shows conversations from all projects
- [Project Name]: Shows conversations only from that specific project (e.g., "Rapid Reviews", "Zero Docs")
Click any tab to filter the chat feed. Each project you manage will have its own filter tab.
Step 3: Review Conversation Details
Each conversation entry in the feed displays:
- Project name: The project the conversation belongs to
- Version: The version of the agent that handled the conversation (e.g., "v1")
- Date: When the conversation occurred (e.g., "4/16/2026")
- User identifier: The source or user ID (e.g., "slack_T08JB2899D4_U08JB2899EJ" for Slack integrations)
- Message content: The full conversation transcript, including both user messages and agent responses
Understanding User Identifiers
User identifiers vary depending on how the agent was accessed:
- Slack users: Display as
slack_[workspace_id]_[user_id] - Discord users: Display with Discord-specific identifiers
- Widget users: Display with session or authentication identifiers from your embedded widget
Reviewing Agent Responses
For each conversation, you can:
- Verify the agent provided accurate information
- Identify common questions or pain points
- Check if the agent correctly utilized source content
- Monitor greeting messages and initial user interactions
Example conversation structure:
Rapid Reviews │ v1 │ 4/16/2026

Monitoring Across Multiple Projects
If you manage multiple projects (e.g., "Zero Docs" and "Rapid Reviews"), the Chats page aggregates conversations from all of them. Use the project filter tabs to:
- Compare agent performance across different projects
- Review conversations from specific knowledge bases
- Identify which projects generate the most user interactions
What's Not Included
The Chats page displays logged conversations but does not include:
- Real-time active chats: Only completed conversations appear in the feed
- Admin test conversations: Sessions cleared via Reset Admin Session are not retained
- Deleted project data: Conversations from deleted projects are removed
System Status
The Chats page may display status banners about system performance, such as:
Document ingestion may be slower than usual due to a vendor API degradation.
These banners provide context for any delays in processing new sources or updating agent knowledge.
Next Steps
After reviewing chat history:
- Test the chat agent to verify improvements based on user feedback
- Manage sources to update knowledge and improve agent responses
- Connect Slack or Discord integrations to expand chat availability
